An electronic Maxwell´s demon

in the 19th century James Clerk Maxwell described a small demon who could reverse the second law of thermodynamics. How? Image a hermetic chamber full of a gas at a determined temperature. This chamber is divided in two separate parts divided by a tiny door. If the demon decides to open and close the door very fast at will, some molecules will pass from one part of the chamber to the other, hence decreasing the temperature in one side and increasing it on the other side. Does it mean that the entropy then decreases and the second law of thermodynamics is violated?   Well, this was a thought experiments some years back, but now a real experiment has been performed.
