Hawking Radiation proven in the lab

The idea of recreating a black hole might sound technically impossible. However, 30 years ago William Unruh suggested that ¨the same arguments leading to black-hole evaporation also predict that a thermal spectrum of sound waves should be given out from the sonic horizon in transsonic fluid flow". In the lab, the production of quantized sound waves in a Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC) is the equivalent to what it happens at the event horizon of a black hole.
Various possible experimental realizations were presented some years ago (LINK). Nonetheless, there has not been any agreement in the scientific community about this correlation between black holes and BECs, i.e. between general relativity and quantum mechanics.
This year Jeff Steinhauer in Israel has provided a different result, and it appears to verify Hawking's calculations (clik on the image below to know more).
Quantum gravity could be getting closer to a proven theory.

Hawking radiation proven in the lab

A black hole is a region in space with a tremendous gravitational field. It is called black because even light cannot scape from it. In the 70s Professor Hawking predicted that there is black-body radiation emitted from the black hole. The detection of this kind of radiation was almost impossible due to two main factors: first of all the radiation is very delicate, which makes it difficult to observe. Secondly, it is so far away that the distance could probably debilitate the signal.
Of course to prove it in the lab was not feasible, until a group of scientist in Israel had the idea to use ultracold Helium. Some other ideas are also starting to flourish. Will Hawking Radiation be proven in the lab? Click on the image below to know more, and also HERE.

Where is everyone?

I remember that when I was reading "The boat of a million years" there was a description on the different types of civilization taking into account how the civilization was able to use the resources of the planet, galaxy, etc. Now I know this is based on the so called Kardashev Scale and that even Carl Sagan calculated where we, humans, are: in our infancy. We still don't know how to get the best use of the resources from our planet Earth.
Are there others there? If any of those civilizations is far more advanced than us, why haven't we heard from them?
I suggest you enjoy the reading in UFO Evidence HERE and HERE and, for a very complete and exhaustive summary,  just click on the picture below.

The sad story that Pluto wasn't anymore a planet in our Solar System made us think about a new system with only eight planets. Now, there could be a happy ending for this story. Evidence of a new ninth planet has been found thanks to some scientists at Caltech. Discover more about the giant stranger below!

Fusion/Fission Engine?

It seems that Boeing just patented a laser powered propulsion system. Exactly, now get ready for a weekend.. on the Moon?! With just some nuclear reactions it seems that this crazy idea could be true. In the near future? Clearly not possible. First, our knowledge about fusion is basically just theoretical. Practical applications are far, far away of being realized soon. And even better, the heat produced in the reaction can generate electricity, so even less losses! Better make your own opinion about it. Click on the picture below to know more. Also I recommend this link with additional and interesting information: LINK

Today I have found this article and I have no other choice that to share it with you. It is well known that mostly of the times, in order to calculate the trajectory of a celestial body, we use probabilistic laws. What if the results differ "just a little bit" from the calculations? What could it happen? Discover more about this apocalyptic news by clicking on the asteroid below..
